isaac's sacrifice
Isaac is a symbol in the Old Testament of
the ultimate and extreme sacrifice of Jesus in the New Testament. The
life of an innocent, simple lamb is the price He accepts for our salvation.
Genesis chapter 22. The broken light rays are used to focus on the main
subject. Technically this style could be seen as a variant of impressionism,
but cannot be classified as such. In my opinion, it leans more to expressionism
because of its emotional content.
